My sessions focus on helping you find ease in movement, connecting movement with breath, and guiding you to find what's available to your body in any given moment for happy, healthy joints. I believe this approach is the key to healthy longevity. The parallels between the Pilates journey and life's path continually surprise me!

Pilates transformed my body and LIFE! It's not just exercise...

Why did you start?

Curiosity. I became obsessed with it because it made me feel strong and graceful, and it challenged me in humbling ways.

Background

I am a doctor of Optometry, retired after 21 years of practice. I have been teaching Pilates since 2002. I am a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher and my education includes the BASI ™️ Pilates Comprehensive Training Program, the Fletcher Pilates Comprehensive Program of Study (Professional Teacher), the Buff Bones Instructor Training Program, the Oov Training, the Arcus Training, Konnector Training, Advanced Neurologic Techniques through The Neuro Studio, Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) Practitioner, Level 2, Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) LifeStretch Teacher, and Reiki Level 1 Attunement. I am currently doing an 8-month Foot and Gait Mentorship with Nancy Myers.

Outside of La Playa you can find me…

Playing volleyball at East Beach, cycling on Gibraltar Rd, in the kitchen cooking healthy food, working on personal growth, and promoting healthy longevity any way I can!
